Reorganisation project at KROHNE France

KROHNE ANNOUNCES A PROJECT TO REORGANIZE ITS PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES WITH THE CREATION OF A NUCLEAR CENTER OF EXCELLENCE IN ROMANS-SUR-ISERE, FRANCE

The KROHNE Group has launched a strategic review to reorganize some of its production activities.

This international project also concerns the group's French subsidiary, KROHNE S.A.S., which is located at Romans-sur-Isère in the Drôme region. A presentation of the project was made on November 15th, 2022, to the company's Works Council and then to all the employees of KROHNE in France and Germany.

In France, the project involves the creation of a Nuclear Center of Excellence based in Romans-sur-Isère. KROHNE France would be responsible for the international nuclear activities: sales, product development, certification, manufacturing, and service. The production of measuring instruments supplied to the nuclear industry, currently carried out at four sites (Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and France), would then be concentrated in France, at the Romans-sur-Isère site.

This centralization would be possible with the support of an already existing, efficient and experienced team dedicated to nuclear energy. At the same time, it would also be necessary to develop the skills of other teams in Romans-sur-Isère (through training, for example), in order to meet the quality and safety requirements of the nuclear activity.

In order to carry out this project aiming to create a Nuclear Center of Excellence, KROHNE S.A.S. would entrust the production equipment of Level measurement devices to the headquarter based in Germany, which would become the new Center of Excellence for Level.

The implementation of this project has been planned through voluntary departures, around 50 departures, within the framework of a negotiated collective departure agreement (called RCC in French), under the supervision of the Labor Administration. In any event, no changes will be made until the middle of 2023 and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, with the new Centers of Excellence operational in their respective activities.

There are legal obligations to respect, among which is the priority of information that must be given to the social partners.
